Our family have been farmers and business men in Devon for generations and have had close associations with Cornwall for many years. We purchased Buckler Village in June 1980. Since then we have invested large sums of money and a great deal of time in raising the standard of the Village to what we feel is the present high level. We have been ably assisted in these efforts by our managers, Mr. and Mrs. Knowles, as well as the vast majority who live in the Village. The magnificent efforts that some people have put into their gardens have to be seen to be believed. A very important aspect of life on Buckler Village is the good relationship which we have with the residents and the fact that everyone is known to us. No one is treated as a number, which can occur with some Park Home Estates that are owned by large companies. Another advantage of life on the Village is the feeling of security one has which can be lacking on a conventional housing estate. One of the greatest assets which Buckler Village has are Mr. and Mrs. Knowles. They are a cheerful couple who are always willing to assist their neighbours on the Village when needed. Mr. and Mrs. Knowles regularly keep an eye on homes when their owners are on holiday which can give great peace of mind. Having lived on Buckler Village for many years they are an invaluable source of information and assistance for new residents, with a cheery welcome for all. However, upon Buckler Village we are conscious that our residents value their privacy and we are aware that this essential element is of the utmost importance. Nevertheless it is good to know help is at hand if the need should arise. We all look forward to welcoming you to our Village.  |
